I was called at 5pm rush hour from a lady who had filled her Ford Focus 03 plate, petrol car with diesel. She was in a rush as she was on her way home from work and needed to pick the kids up. Panicked by her mistake, I told her we could be with her to rectify the mistake within 45 mins. She was thrilled. She had only driven the car around the corner from the petrol station and pulled over before the car came to a stop itself.
The engineer arrived at the car 35 minutes later and was able to drain the car, flush the system and put back £30 of petrol so she could drive to pick the kids up.
A simple mistake like this when you have a lot going on can easily be done. It doesn’t need to cost you a lot at a car garage when we can get you back on the road in no time with only a small cost to pay.
